Sadness Amid Time of Transition, Possible Deception

Updated: Sep 5, 2023

All 3 cards were reversed in yesterday’s spread, and they are reversed again in today’s spread. Even though they’re all different cards, I see a continuation of the themes expressed yesterday. Both spreads began with a reversed 10. Tens are transition points.

And today we see the 10 of Pentacles reversed indicating family affairs and domestic problems including unstable finances, worries, quarrels, the illness of a parent or even a death in the family.

The 5 of Swords reversed can sometimes be worse than when it’s upright representing egotism, unfairness, dishonesty, deceit and deception. The 4 of Cups reversed can be positive or negative but since it’s paired with 2 other reversed cards I’m sensing sadness, despair, self-pity, and a significant state of depression.

Yesterday I saw the effects due to a possible death of someone close to you and today it’s clearer that it may be a death in the family that is stimulating jealousy and arguments over an inheritance before the funeral has even been held. Even if today’s situation doesn’t involve a death, it’s still probably a sad day for you with feelings of defeat and depression that are overwhelming and causing you to lay low instead of preparing to celebrate with family and friends during this the Labor Day weekend.
